Studio One, founded by Ar. Yeshwant Ramamurthy in 1979, has grown into a distinguished design consultancy offering a wide range of services in architecture, interiors, and landscape design. Since 1995, Studio One has moved on from designing 100 plus budget hotels into reputed clubs, convention spaces, restaurants, high-end bar & kitchens and other hospitality spaces.

Beyond hospitality, the Studio One portfolio has an impressive array of educational institutions, gated communities, private residences, offices and landscape projects, consistently delivering iconic designs which balance client needs with innovation and practicality.

Principal Architect

Ar. Yeshwant Ramamurthy

A graduate of Sir JJ college of Architecture, Mumbai, Ar. Yeshwant Ramamurthy began his career with M/s CnT, Bangalore. Two years later he moved overseas to work on town planning projects in Iran and returned to his home town, Hyderabad to commence practice in 1979. He also works in areas of heritage conservation, craft revival and design history documentation.

He served as a chapter chairman IIID and is currently on the managing committe IIA, Telangana chapter. He is a convener of the publications committee of the council of architecture and serves on the academic board of studies at JNAFAU. He is visiting faculty at ICFAI School of Architecture. He founded Hyderabad Design Forum which aims at integrating all design verticals.

Conducting Heritage walks of architectural monuments in Hyderabad and making technical presentations are other ways in which he contributes to the city's design fraternity.

Commercial design magazine recently rated him amongst India's 100 most influential designers.

Chief Architect

Ar. Rajesh Murthy

Graduating from the erstwhile Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, now J.N.A.F.A.U., Hyderabad, Ar. Rajesh Murthy joined Studio One in 1989.

Since the early days of Studio One, he has worked alongside Ar. Yeshwant Ramamurthy, playing a pivotal role as both rudder and sail, skillfully guiding the firm’s dynamic design team to establish a stellar reputation and a diverse portfolio of successful projects.

As an Associate Architect and Partner since 2013, Ar. Murthy has made significant contributions across various domains, including client relations, design ideation, detailed design development, tender processing, project management, and quality assurance.

A passionate and articulate designer, he remains committed to blending sustainable vernacular techniques and materials with cutting-edge technologies, continuing to shape innovative and meaningful architectural solutions.
